COVID-19: Europe tops four million coronavirus cases

Paris: More than four million people have been infected with the coronavirus in Europe, according to a tally by AFP at 1640 GMT Tuesday using official data from across the continent.

In total, there have been 4,006,077 cases, with Russia, Spain and Britain recording the highest number of infections, while 216,080 people have died and 2,281,959 have recovered, the data showed.
