Karachi: Aamir Liaquat Hussain, the Pakistan TV host and politician who has been the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's Member of the National Assembly since August 2018, is well known in the country for his controversial and unusual acts to gain popularity.
His most recent is a video on his Twitter account showing him going chest deep inside a pond of muddied rainwater near his vehicle in a desperate search for money that he lost during chaotic conditions in Karachi after the heavy monsoon downpour. The videos have since gone viral on social media.

In one of the videos, which so far has been watched over 21,000 times on Twitter, he twice goes under water for about 20 seconds in his frantic search. After his first dip the 49-year-old says that he is still young as he is able to hold his breath for such a long time.
In another clip he says, “Here’s the place for swimming. The MNA from Karachi is swimming in Karachi. Murad Ali Shah sahib you have down a wonder,” while sarcastically addressing the Sindh Chief Minister who belongs to his opponent Pakistan Peoples’ Party.
He said in the video clip that the situation in Karachi had become adverse to an extent that it was beyond his comprehension. The PTI’s MNA said that he was not saddened by the loss of his money as he was more heartbroken to see pathetic condition of his native city. “No issue if I’m unable to find my money but issue is that properties of the people were destroyed, as people lost all their belongings, as this is the situation of Karachi city,” he said.
