Hyderabad: A man has killed his wife after watching a video - which turned out to be fake - suggesting she was having an affair. The man also killed another woman holding her responsible for the “activities” of his wife.
The shocking incident occurred in the Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday police said. The incident came to light when neighbours alerted the police about the bodies of two women in a house.
Harinath Reddy, deputy superintendent of Nellore Rural police said that special teams were found to catch the accused K Nageshwara Rao, who was absconding since the double murder.
Rao, who was in the business of providing earth moving machines on hire, was suspecting the loyalty of his wife and had recently shifted his house from his native Puttapupalem to the Navalac Garden area of Nellore.
Stabbed to death
He was enraged when he saw a video of a nude couple which he had received over WhatsApp. Even though the faces in the video were not clear, suspecting that woman in the video was his wife, 43-year-old Nirmalamma, he stabbed her to death at his rented house.
He also summoned another relative Venkatratnamma and stabbed her to death too for holding her responsible for the “activities” of his wife. Venkatratnamma body was found in a bed, the other body was found in the hall.
“He committed the murder of two women though there was no evidence of any link of his wife to the video”, the DSP said.
Police arew investigating who had sent the video to him on Whatsapp.
